Albert Einstein International School

The American International School in San Pedro Sula, Honduras

New Area E Project

As we have announced over the months, Albert Einstein International School has now begun a major project at the new land acquired by the school called “Area E”. If you have been on campus lately, you will have seen areas where dynamic change is constantly taking place.

The construction consists on opening new Science Laboratories (Chemistry and Biology), a new Media Center, a new Preschool section, and a new Gymnasium.

The frontal building will be formed by concrete in the walls of first floor, and pure crystals for the second and third floor. Also, it will have European style ceiling, which is mostly been used in new school constructions of American International schools in North America and Europe. This project will follow the new standards of school construction concepts in North America and Europe. The construction will make a new face for the campus.

The gymnasium that will be called “A.E.I.S. GYM”, will be used for volleyball practices, events and tournaments. The ceiling will be made by concrete and pure crystal. Also, the gymnasium will have an imported score board. The gymnasium will be closed and air-conditionized.

The Media Center is new concept for a Library, the difference is that it will have more book volumes than the current library and it will have computers that will be used by any student at all times, separately of the Computer Lab.

The Science Laboratories (one Chemistry Lab and one Biology Lab) will have all the basic amenities associated with comparable facilities at international schools and colleges. These laboratories will fully immerse students into science and give them a sufficient understanding and instruction of the principles of biology and chemistry. It will create an evolutionary change in the teaching form of science life in our school.

The construction is administered by the Albert Einstein International Educational Association and the United States Middle States Regional Council. The first phase will be opened to all public in January 2008, and the second phase in May 2008. Our goal is to meet international school standards.

Also, Albert Einstein International School has planned major projects after the construction at Area E. Those future projects include the construction of a Theater for the Performing Arts, Parking Lot for students, a new court for soccer and American football, and new grade sections.
